If you Google the definition of Linchpin, it will show you “a person or thing vital to an enterprise or organization”. The term "Linchpin" was popularized by Seth Godin in his book of the same name. According to him, a linchpin is someone who is so valuable that they hold the organization together. They are the ones who solve problems, create solutions, and make things happen.
Linchpins are the glue that holds the organization/community together. Linchpins are incredibly important because they are the one who keeps the group moving toward a common goal. Without linchpins, communities and organizations would not be able to operate at their full potential.
Every organization is a machine that works to serve a certain purpose. We can say each person working in those organizations offers a certain set of values as “tools” inside the machine. Linchpins are the ones who make the tools work in a better way to deliver the expected result.
